O, she doth teach the torches to burn bright!
It seems she hangs upon the cheek of night
As a rich jewel in an Ethiop's ear-
Beauty too rich for use, for earth too dear!

Sunday, August 13
I figured if I don't blog about this, memory will fade and it'd become a dream.

We unintentionally marked the 35th'versary with a :) :) :) weekend. [I know smilies aren't terribly good descriptive symbols, but I can't think of a word that surfices at the moment. I swear my language's going.]

Not that every Dippy Day isn't good, but hell, you'd understand by the end of this entry.

So anyway, History on Friday was wonky. I felt relatively pleased with my attempt at 2 questions, before Celeste very graciously burst that bubble with a 'I'm very sure you discuss by countries, I just read that outline last night. We've done it before.' Wtf. I sure hope she's wrong in all sense of the word.

Dippy turned up at CJ somewhat unannounced after History, just when I was wallowing in self-pity and the misery of having to lug the stupid Playskool table to Tyersal. Muscleman saved the day!

And I reiterate. Burger King has the best nuggets and cheesesticks.

We pretended to have a lil picnic at BK's veranda. Or at least I did. Have I told you I love picnics?

I'm getting a lil tired of this, so point-form the rest of the way. Memories' sake, you know.

- Walked from Killiney to MS with a huge box while Dippy was at a meeting, and wheeled my box around Cold Storage pretending to grocery-shop for 30 mins whilst waiting for Dippy.

- Sunset Bar!
Think: deep fried mushrooms the size of my mouth, chile corne carne, fish&chips, level one buffalo wings [And they were already pretty hot. Imagine level sixteen's chef's challenge.] Dippy was grouchy because the mushrooms were swimming in oil and affecting his diet.
And we walked around and screamed at Iguana Crossing [okay, only me], killed ants, took stupid photos [Only me though. I always get tricked and Dippy's too cool.], oohed&ahhed over dogs / houses / trees. And created a mini traffic jam trying to get a photo of a meandering river.

- Some reservior. Lower Pierce I think.
Eileen: Where shall we go to after this?
Dippy: Let's drive to this park / beach, there's a whole road through it.
Eileen: [imagines some Californian 70 mile beachside highway]
THEN we drove over the bridge in the middle of the reservior, and tried disturbing joggers - 'Come on, come on, you can do it!'
Eileen: [after quite awhile] Where's that beach? I thought it was around the area?

I'm really not sure if I'm becoming more of a bimbo. Certain statistics [like the number of silly things I've said in the past few days] point to it, but yet again, my explanation for my Art project does sound pretty intelligent. I think.

- Kino @ Taka.
The usual oogling over books etc.

- Fireworks!
We caught them from within the jeep while caught in a jam along the Parliament Lane area. Yay for being a whole head above other cars, and the jeep vibrates with each boom.

SATURDAY
- Shoot No. 2 @ Tyersal.
I bought Dippy a healthy breakfast after he rejected my offers of Macs' Big Breakfast - '800+ calories you know!'. So we had NON-FAT yoghurt, sour cranberry muffins and chocolate milk.
Then ran around looking for coloured chalk - kids are seriously spoilt nowadays, hopscotch sets are PRINTED on mats. So now I've a $5 box of chalk, tell me if you need some.
AND Tyersal's being demolished! There goes the happy memories of my four visits - with the class, with Joshua, for shoot number one and shoot number two. The roof's off now.
We spent an hour there with me playing hopscotch on sizzling tarmac. I felt like a POW or something.
Suffering for the sake of art. That's a pleasing thought in terms of attempts at being an artist.

- Island Creamery.
I haven't forgotten my first visit there and the 3 hour chat session with the girls.
Tiger sorbet is almost orgasmic. Dippy loves the mudpie.
Second round [eskimo bar and baked alaska] went out the window - Dippy's diet.

- Alameen.
This makes me envy Desmond / Tessa / Joshua / NP students.
Alameen has damn good food. Dippy's chicken murtabak was sooo good, crisp / shredded chicken / thick curry. And my fish fillet chicken [odd name, but good stuff] was one of the best rice I've ever tasted. You know, a lil clumpy and moist but still hard. Lacked the fragrance though.
And there's the drinks. White spider's vanilla icecream in icecream soda. Apple shake's chocolate icecream in apple slush. Shiok I tell you.

- Giant car accessory shop.
This is like THE MAN'S.. I don't know, Livia or something. You have males bringing wives / children / girlfriends in tow and gazing at car parts with love and desire.
Dippy spent forever fondling pedals.
Okay, I admit it's a pretty fascinating place even for someone like me.

- Dippy's house.
Laughed / taunted Praise for being locked out in the balcony because he pooped all over the place.

>> Photographs will be up much later. NEC's been down hence the lack of updates, and now her internet connection's still down.

Dippy Day again on Monday! I'm hoping I get to eat duck rice.
