I’ve been wanting to talk about my trip to Mawai / Taiwan since my return yonks ago / Tuesday, but was too caught up with packing / unpacking for Taiwan / Dippy’s OCS Social Night [which was a flop] and whining about school’s reopening – which spells impending doom because holiday homework sits somewhere around my house.
At least my favourite month January’s nearing. The only month that everyone does a countdown to. And is heralded in with fireworks and almost every government around the world makes a little hoohah about it with celebrations. January is when I turn a year older,
officially. Not like 11/12 of the population who
claim they’re a year older. January is my month. If I lived in Hong Kong and I had to choose an English name, I’d be January Lee Kar Mun or something.
Last two weeks of December are nicely busy. I have to plan my ayyy-teeenth, send my ho-ho greeting cards, run around pretending to be a dee-vah, find ways to lose all that Taiwanese baggage on me and complete holiday homework. Ack.
