O, she doth teach the torches to burn bright!
It seems she hangs upon the cheek of night
As a rich jewel in an Ethiop's ear-
Beauty too rich for use, for earth too dear!

Grandpa's emergency operation's at 0530. Pray.

I thought I was pretty smart when Dippy decided to come along for Baybeats with me and the rest - Charm, Jaesh, Kassandra, JJ, Herman, Jon, Marcus, Ho Cjuan and a coupla others. Almost like killing two birds with one stone I thought. Turns out I was pretty wrong.

Dippy and I got caught in a jam along CTE [or was it PIE? whichever it is, whatever overlooks Esplanade and leads to Suntec] and only met up with the rest at Max at 8+pm when we were supposed to meet at 6.30pm. A little exchange of words with Charm and Dippy whisked me off to meet his friends and off for dinner. By the time I got back the guys had run off to Dota. I feel horrible deserting them.

But Dippy and I got to catch the fireworks. I don't particularly think fireworks are pretty, hence I don't get the hoohah. Nevertheless I did get some shots, although Dippy thinks I'm stupid because I have in my possession a professional camera and I used the auto function to snap. And I got to catch Surreal from within the barricades. I'd probably be able to do an interview with them soon! Nerve-wrecking, but fun. The mosh pit was more exciting than last year's - although no bodysurfing - and I suddenly miss Rina. We spent last year pressing our bodies against the barricade trying to get a good look at Buddhiston because of my Sigg bottle.

Jo, I don't know if you're reading this, but HAPPY BELATED SEVENTEEN. I LOVE YOU.
